Hiii! I’m Emily Netz. My husband, Jeff, and I live in Tulsa, Oklahoma and we have two little boys who keep us on our toes. I started using essential oils five years ago while I was pregnant with our first son, and I have been mixing up roller blends ever since. I’m excited to share with you some of my favorite, everyday blends!
Especially during this time of the year, my main focus for our family is supporting our immune systems so we can fight off anything that we come into contact with throughout the day. I love having a Thieves roller handy as we are getting ready in the morning. I take a quick moment to roll it down our spines and bottoms of our feet. It’s really amazing how this one simple routine can make a difference. I usually will apply at night as well.
Our “unicorn” roller is for all the feelings – big and small. I use it mostly with my boys (ages 3 & 4), but I definitely use it for myself as well. It’s like a magical dose of courage & calm that smells heavenly. In this roller, I put about 5 drops each of valor, frankincense, stress away, and bergamot and then fill the rest with fractionated coconut oil. I always keep this blend in my purse.
One of my absolute favorite ways to incorporate oils into my daily routine is in my glow serum. I’ve definitely gone through phases where I overcomplicate things by adding a whole lineup of different essential oils to my serum, but lately, I’ve been keeping it ultra simple and my skin loves it. I use tamanu oil as my carrier oil (look up the benefits – you’ll be amazed!) and then I add in Elemi essential oil.
I’ve made a number of different perfume blends with essential oils over the years, but my current favorite is very earthy and grounding. I use bergamot, vetiver, cedarwood, sacred frankincense, sandalwood, and just a couple drops of ylang ylang. I keep my perfume roller in my bathroom to apply in the mornings & a second roller in my purse.
When I oil up with this deep sleep blend before bed, I know I’m going to rest well. I like to apply this on the bottoms of my feet (focused on my big toes to help relax and shut off my brain), my chest, wrists, and back of my neck. The blend contains equal drops of valerian, vetiver, lavender, sacred frankincense, cedarwood, and northern lights black spruce – it packs quite the punch!
