The reason I do the business side of Young Living is because I truly have a heart for people, and I want to help as many people as I can. I want to see people fall in love with the products that have made such a difference in the lives of myself and my family. I feel the most important thing within my business is to build relationships with my members. I view my welcome packet as one of the first steps in doing just that. I feel this is an amazing way for me to love on my members and help them to see the amazing potential in the investment they have just made in their family’s health and future. I would love to share with you a few of the things I do before sending my welcome packets out as well as some of the things I love to include in them.
One of the first things I do when I welcome a new member is, I send out an initial welcome email with a Google form attached that I ask them to fill out for me. This form allows me to find out a little more about them as well as helps me to know which kit they started off with. All of this helps me know what information to send in their welcome packet as well as how better to plug them in within our team. Once I get this form back, I will send a follow up email with a larger amount of information tailored to them and their needs. In this email I will also introduce them to their new sponsor as an added level of support if I have stacked them within my team.
I have two sets of information cards that I like to use in my actual welcome packet. Both sets are digital downloads and I choose to print from home, but you could send them off to have them printed as well if that was what you wanted to do. I always say you do what works best for you.
My standard set is from Flair and Festive and is the one pictured with the rainbows. This set of cards covers the Premium Starter Kit with the 12 oils and diffuser and has a lot of very useful information about things such as Essential Rewards, sharing, and even dilution. This set also comes in a customizable format, where you can add additional cards, or you can change things around to fit your style in the best way possible. I love the fact that I can add cards, because I really like to send a personal note with each welcome packet and this feature allows me to do that.
The second set I really like is from Christy Beasley Creative. This set has so much information about all areas. It could be sent all at once in a welcome packet or parts of it could be sent as happy mail. These additional cards really come in handy when a person starts with a kit other than the kit with the 12 oils and the diffuser or if they have question about a specific area and you want to send info on just that area.
No matter which cards I send I like to make sure that when my new member receives their starter kit in the mail, they will have the information in hand that they need to open their kit up and get using it right away. This is also why I love sending Whimsy + Wellness rollers in my welcome packet. Whimsy + Wellness rollers are the rollers I personally used daily and love. I know if it is something, I love my members will too. Whether it is one or two special rollers or whole sets for a special gift as you see pictured here, I like them to have tools ready right away to start using their kit. I want the tools I send to be of the best quality and that is for sure Whimsy + Wellness. The saddest thing ever to me is to find out someone had all of these amazing tools at their fingertips and they let it sit in the box and did not use them, so I do everything I can to keep this from happening.
I try to take every opportunity to build relationships with my members and love on them, and I just feel the welcome packet is a great way to do that.
I hope this gives you some ideas for welcome gifts for new essential oil users! I would love it if you would come say “hello!” over at @essentiallyevers on Instagram! Thank you for following along!
