Cucumber juice is easy to make, even if you don’t have a juicer! Most people recommend using an English cucumber, since this variety has fewer seeds. Try to use organic cucumbers whenever possible.

There are two main ways to make cucumber juice: 

1. How to Make Cucumber Juice With a Blender 

Wash your cucumber well, peel it, and then slice it or roughly chop it. Using a blender or an immersion blender, blend until smooth. Use a spatula or the back of a spoon to force the cucumber puree through a sieve to remove the seeds and most of the pulp (line the sieve with a coffee filter or cheesecloth if you want to remove all the pulp). 

Now, you can thin the juice with water or sparkling water, add your desired essential oils and a straw, and enjoy! 

2. How to Make Cucumber Juice With a Juicer 

A juicer is the easiest way to make cucumber juice, especially since you can also add additional ingredients like apples, carrots, celery, or kale. Just peel and wash your cucumber, and send it through your juicer. Then, you can add essential oils, sparkling water, or any other ingredients you’d like. 

3 Delicious Recipes for Cucumber Juice Infused With Essential Oils 

Good Morning, Cucumber  

This is the perfect first-thing-in-the-morning drink to rehydrate your body, jumpstart your metabolism, and set you up to feel energized and alive all day long! 

Ingredients 

1 cucumber, peeled and roughly chopped

Lemon essential oil 

Ginger essential oil 

Pinch of sea salt (optional)

Juice or puree and then strain cucumber (you can thin the juice with water if you’d like). Add 1-2 drops each of lemon oil and ginger oil and a pinch of sea salt, if desired.

Cucumber Detox 

Cilantro has a reputation as a detox herb because of its cleansing and anti-inflammatory properties. We combine its spicy tang here with cucumber’s cool, mild taste and an add an apple for sweetness and extra antioxidant power. Delicious! 

Ingredients 

1 cucumber, peeled and roughly chopped

1 small apple, peeled and cored and roughly chopped 

Small handful of cilantro leaves, washed well 

Lemon essential oil 

Juice or puree and then strain cucumber, apple, and cilantro. Add 1-2 drops of lemon oil, and mix well. 

Cucumber Mint Refresher 

We can’t wait to make this drink during the dog days of summer! Sparkling water makes this cucumber juice feel like an exotic aperitif–who says healthy has to be boring? 

Ingredients 

1 cucumber, peeled and roughly chopped 

8oz sparkling water (unflavored) 

Spearmint essential oil 

Lime essential oil 

Juice or puree and then strain cucumber, then combine gently with sparkling water. Add 1-2 drops each of spearmint and lime oil, and mix gently.
